Harvey Summer and John & Mike Foley were the owners of Summer’s Dairy. Harvey had a trucking business that included picking up milk from the local dairy farms. Verna Foley, John's wife, ran the restaurant with her two sons and daughter, with help from Mary Jane, Mike's wife. One of the best known cooks/waitresses was Ozzie Haas' wife, Margie. Mike and John, along with their wives, ran the actual dairy. They also made some of their own great ice cream. This was one of the last real family businesses of the 50’s where the high school kids could have their malt shop, juke box, and a burger and shake.
