James 'Vic' Maynard

BLOOMINGTON -- The graveside service of James "Vic" Maynard, 49, of Bloomington will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. The Rev. Don Crittenden will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. He died at 7:36 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 19, 2002) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

Memorials may be made to the family.

He was born Jan. 6, 1953, in Dunn, N.C., a son of James R. and Maudie Poe Maynard. He married Sandra Patterson on Dec. 30, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, East Peoria; three sons, Victor Z. (Carrie) Maynard, Peoria; Gerald L. (Fran) Patterson, Rochelle; and Andrew J. (Debbie) Patterson, Rockford; one brother, James Maynard Jr., Sunnyland; six grandchildren, Dylan Maynard, Sydney Patterson, Kara Hanson, Bryan Hanson, Tommy Patterson and Matt Patterson; and close family friend, Dave Reed, East Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1994; one brother, Robert R. Tucker; and one grand-child, Ashley Maynard.
